Substrate Integrated Waveguide (siw) Monopole Slot Antenna Array
- This paper proposed a new approach to implement circularly polarized slot array antenna based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW), which could be a potential technique in many fields, such as satellite communication etc. The design mainly includes a compact directional coupler, alternating phase power divider and a pair of symmetrical +45deg/-45deg linearly polarized slot array antennas.
- Antenna with two layers of substrate integrated waveguides is presented. This antenna which operates at 60GHz is very compact and is suitable for a variety of 60GHz applications which have become a hot topic recently 3. The feed waveguide runs underneath the main substrate layer containing the slot array.

In this paper, a new design of substrate integrated waveguide was developed to improve the gain performance of microstrip antennas for 5G antenna applications. The antenna and substrate integrated waveguide ware designed at the frequency 28 GHz millimeter-wave band. A dual-band Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) based slot antenna is presented, it's excited by microstrip line and size is 4 × 9.034 × 0.381 mm 3.The Computer Simulation Technology(CST) studio suite software is used to design and simulate the proposed design. A novel substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity-backed slot antenna is proposed in this study to achieve enhanced-gain performance. The peak gain is remarkably improved with the use of an SIW cavity and metallic superstrate. The superstrate comprises a single rectangular slot window and two half-wavelength patches.
